Spring Cocktails

Spring has bloomed and with that,  delicious and bright cocktails can be prepared! Here are our favorite 5 Spring cocktails for the season.

#1 FRESH STRAWBERRY SANGRIA: What’s better than a refreshing sangria? This recipe is perfect to for a Sunday brunch with friends!


  • 1 (750 ml) bottle dry white or rose wine
  • 1/4 c. Bacardi rum
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 2 c. sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1 1/2 c. seltzer


  • Combine the wine, rum, and sugar in a pitcher; stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the sliced lemon. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Add the sliced strawberries. Refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Add the seltzer just before serving

#2 CLASSIC PINA COLADA: This spring classic is a crowd pleaser!

  • 3/4 cup cream of coconut
  • 3/4 cup Bacardi rum
  • 2 cups pineapple, cubed
  • 5 cups ice
  • 4 pineapple wedges, to garnish (optional)


  1. Place cream of coconut,  rum, and pineapple in a blender.
  2. Add ice 1 cup at a time, blending after each addition, until desired consistency is reached.
  3. Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh pineapple wedge (optional).

#3 STRAWBERRY SUNRISE:  This fruity cocktail is perfect for a night with friends!

Strawberry Sunrise Drink Recipe: 1.5 oz SMIRNOFF® Strawberry Flavored Vodka, 2 oz orange juice, 0.5 oz Grenadine. Fill glass with ice. Stir well. Garnish with strawberry.


  • 1.5 oz SMIRNOFF®  Vodka
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • 0.5 oz Grenadine


  • Fill glass with ice
  • Stir well
  • Garnish with strawberry

#4 LA PINELA: Pineapple is in season in spring! Let’s enjoy it with another pineapple cocktail. This time, with tequila!

La Pinela


  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Lime wedge, for rimming the glass
  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 ounces Sauza Silver Tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces naturally sweetened pineapple juice
  • 1/2 ounce Licor 43
  • 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 ounce Cinnamon syrup


  1. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Rim a glass with the lime wedge, then coat the outside rim of the glass with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Fill the glass with ice.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice, add the remaining ingredients, and shake until the shaker is frosty, about 20 to 30 seconds. Strain into the glass

#5 MANGO JALAPENO MARGARITA: How we could start Spring without a margarita? Here’s a margarita recipe that is both sweet and spicy!

  • 2 ounces Grand Marnier
  • 1 1/2 ounces Sauza Silver Tequila
  • 2 ounces lime juice
  • 2 1/2 ounces mango simple syrup
  • 1/2 mango, peeled and chopped
  • 2 jalapeño peppers, sliced
  • salt for the rim
  • lime wedges


  • Rim the ridge of your glass with a lime wedge and dip in margarita salt
  • Fill the glass with ice. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, grand marnier, simple syrup and lime juice with ice, and shake for about 30 seconds
  • Pour over ice and squeeze in lime slices. I also took a few of the jalapeños from the tequila and removed the seeds, then toss them in the margarita
